Dining Services and Producer Relations
Lead: Sarah Geonczy
This committee will campaign and brainstorm solutions to help Auburn University Dining Services become more sustainable. By working with the Real Food Challenge sponsored "Get Real Campaign," our goal is to collaborate with Tiger Dining, Chartwells, and Auburn Administration to achieve 20% real food on campus by 2020. We also have hopes to work on energy/water efficiency, food waste/composting, and sustainable service-ware.
Spring 2013 Objectives:
1. Continue meeting with Tiger Dining Administration and push formalized suggestions
2. Collaborate with Dining, Athletics, and Facilities in the development of the new Wellness Kitchen
3. Research possible local producer relationships.
